Behavioral Finance

Main content

Similar to our research in spatial cognition, our work in behavioral finance attempts to explain human behavior in complex conditions. On the one hand, individual differences may arise because of experience with financial markets and trading. On the other hand, financial markets themselves might require different interaction strategies. Towards this end, traders may organize a set of computer displays in different ways in order to ensure that relevant information is available under time pressure. Our two projects in the behavioral finance domain investigate individual differences in trading strategies and the interaction between experts and information displays.
