Spatial Navigation

Research on spatial navigation emphasizes goal-directed movement through large-scale (real or virtual) spaces. For some studies, participants are provided with navigation aids such as maps or potential collaborators. These navigation aids can be studied with respect to how they structure spatial learning. Other studies focus on spatial inferences drawn about the environment during unaided navigation or physiological measures of stress during navigation. Our research on spatial navigation can be divided into the following four categories.
