The Decision Sciences Laboratory (DeSciL)

The DeSciL is a multi-user experimental setup that enables the real-time interaction of up to 36 participants. Every client computer is located in a separate cubicle and connected to a server in a control room. Although the DeSciL infrastructure is often used for experiments involving economics games, we have developed a multiuser Unity environment (together with collaborators at Disney Research Zürich and the Chair of Computational Social Science at ETH) in order to study the interaction between individuals’ spatial decision-making and emergent crowd dynamics.
